What can I say? Curtis Latson Services is a top quality company. Curtis is one of those rare finds that takes great pride in his work, and makes sure that everything is done thoroughly, and with precision. He went far beyond the scope of any appliance repair company I have ever hired. Multiple repair places said that my Fisher Paykel Stove/Oven was probably better of being replaced, but not Curtis. He problem solved and problem solved until he made all necessary repairs that needed to be done to have the appliance up and running. Curtis was prompt, professional and extremely knowledgable. He diagnosed the problem with my broken microwave within 2 minutes of opening the case. He also explained exactly what was wrong, and showed me how he identified and confirmed the problem. I lucked out that the bad part was available locally, so Curtis was able to pick up the part and fix the problem the same day. Curtis Latson Services has been a life saver! They've fixed numerous pieces of equipment for me and have always came to the rescue. Curtis handles all his calls directly giving that personal touch and understands how the urgency of needing a repair is crucial. In my experience, Curtis was very professional and knowledgable. He fixed our refrigerator which had a bad compressor. He was very methodical in his diagnosis in order to avoid unnecessary parts replacement. He also was very clear in explaining everything so that I felt comfortable with his diagnosis and repair. Curtis was great. I couldn't believe how organized he was. He inspected our Blue Star range and ordered the parts on the spot. He had them delivered to us and installed them once they came. It doesn't get better than that. The last two guys over the last two years have only given us excuses why the couldn't complete the job, but Curtis got it done in two weeks. This company is great. It seems that previously, every time we had an issue with our laundry machines or dishwashers, the appliance guy would come out fiddle around and either not fix it or sell us a bill of goods. However, when Mr. Latson arrived, he promptly diagnosed the problem with our washing machine, pointing out a mechanical failure but EXPLAINING what we had been doing wrong that led to the error. He reviewed some simple buy critical instructions we'd not been following and gave me a stern but fair lecture about the importance of taking care of my machines. I certainly would use him again. Curtis Latson Services was called to do an emergency repair of a double door refrigerator/freezer which had stopped working. He came out quickly and diagnosed the problem and gave an estimate of repair. He returned quickly as parts arrived and installed them. Sears wasn't going to make it till Thursday, and the local big shops weren't going to make it till Monday. Curtis let me know that the best he could do for me was later that afternoon (Saturday). Same day service? I'll take it! We had a fridge full of groceries warming up and Curtis showed up, fixed the problem and charged a very reasonable rate (especially for a weekend call). We had a bit of a follow up issue that needed a bit of tweaking, he was very responsive and totally professional and things are humming along at a perfect temperature now. We used Curtis to repair two appliances in our Berkeley home; A Bosch dishwasher (the motherboard), and a glass door on a Thermador Oven. He was able to repair the motherboard in one day and the oven just as soon as he ordered the glass. His customer service was excellent in both cases. He even replaced a metal panel that was cosmetic for the cost of the labor only.
